Home Construction May 7, 2004 I started clearing a lot in Hickory Hills, White Haven Pa. My intention was to document the project from start to finish. As I progressed with this project I posted pictures of my progress, explaining my views of the work as I went. My first step was to post the permits (in first pic), I then proceeded to lay out home on lot and find where I wanted the driveway. The home will be on a corner lot which the zoning requires 30' from the road which means both ways. The driveway must be 15' from property line. After I found these limits I started to clear the lot. I am planning on bringing in my backhoe this coming week.

On Monday May 10th I started digging out stumps one in particular was a large oak it took several hours of digging but it came out. My carpenter Joe, had his cell phone with him. The new one with a digital camera. These 4 pics are from his phone! 5/14/2004 The lot is almost cleared. Some of the stumps are very large and difficult to dig out. Then once they are out the ground is wet and hard to travel over. I have a load of stone ordered for Tuesday at 8am.
